Last year, my teacher asked the class if someone could take our class hamster home over winter break. Someone needed to care for Mousie while school was out. I got my mom's permission to take him. But, on the day before winter break, the power went out! School was canceled. I was so worried about Mousie. I was afraid he would be alone for the whole week.
Luckily, my mom drove me to the school. We met my teacher there and cleaned Mousie's cage and gave him fresh food and water. At my house, my family held Mousie, fed him, and gave him lots of love. (Everyone, that is, except my cat.) When the week was over I wanted to keep him for myself!
