I volunteer at the Murray-Calloway County Animal Shelter. After school, I walk and feed the dogs. I also bathe puppies and small dogs. Sometimes families looking to adopt a dog will ask me how he or she gets along with a 9-year-old like me. I'm always glad to help animals find good homes. Sometimes I write animal ID cards to put on shelter cages. People looking to adopt can read them and learn more about the animals up for adoption. I've also participated in shelter events and helped explain why spaying and neutering is important. I really enjoy volunteering at the shelter and I know that the animals need my help!
